In 2018 I decided to visit every country in the EU, to make portraits of people whose work, lives and friendships depended upon their right to free movement. Over five months, I drove, sailed (well, got on a few ferries) and flew to 27 countries, made portraits, captured stories, ate, drank, made friends and built a picture of a beautiful thing that I was going to miss - that I believed we would all come to miss.
This project became a book, and these are the portraits from it.
