Groups of people meeting to discuss shared ideas, argue over differences, buy, sell, persuade, swap ideas and catch up with their peers.
They call this "Bread & Butter" work, and I can't disagree. There's always something to see, and new people to meet. Also, there's nearly always food. I am lucky to be able to call this 'work'...
